Agreed, this was a band-aid fix for activist judges. Instead of fixing the problem all it'd do is turn the constitution into a dictionary.

Instead of fixing the problem all it'd do is turn the constitution into a dictionary. I know of 3 Supreme Court justices (and on occassion a fourth) that need the refresher course.

no this is NOT a band aid fix.
This is a legitimate constitutional fix which neutralizes another Roe v Wade situation.
This prevents loonies form one state like Mass. imposing via FFC upon the other states.
If you were serious, you would realize this amendment preserves the rights of states against the low level state judge appointments of the other states.

Instead of fixing the problem all it'd do is turn the constitution into a dictionary. I'm glad someone sees this is mainly just to define the word 'marriage'. It's interesting that some people get so worked up over a word, especially the same people who have so little respect for them.
