Perhaps. Although recently I have come to wonder...if the government claims that it would be "impossible" to round up and deport 12 million illegal aliens, just how the heck are they going to take the guns away from 100 million citizens?

Two things: First and foremost 12 25 million Mexicans are NO THREAT TO THE GOVERNMENT. They are a threat to the rest of us in terms of jobs and culture, but that many welfare suckers empower government that much more.

Secondly, 100 million Americans won't resist. 99% will just hand them over if asked (100% in new england) leaving about 1,000,000 who will hang on to them, and of these, 95% wil probably surrender when the gun gestapo comes knocking on the door in the middle of the night. As you might have gathered I have a low opinion of the importance of freedom to my fellow Americans.

Example, About 10 years ago Ga's local gun owners rights group held a rally on the capital steps (state capital) on a Saturday morning prior to the opening of the legislature for the year. We called 3000 people (our total member base), put a couple of adds on radio, and even put an ad in the marietta paper (never the Atlanta paper) the Atl metro area consists of about 4 million people. 140 showed up.

Contrast this with the size group who met Colonel Smith's troops in Concord when he was doing what the NO police did. 6000 armed militia attacked Smith's troops. This is 6000 people when the entire population of the colonies was estimated to be 2.5 million.

Love of freedom in America is dead and has been replaced by the culture of government dependency.
