Much to be grateful for today.

My cousin did this for his mother 2 years ago - and today they are both alive and well. The amazing thing is that the donor's liver will actually grow back to its normal size after the surgery....

Newswoman and son recover after surgery... Don't mean to nitpick, but recover? Of course we hope they do, but that's a premature announcement. Is the LSM that eager to move this story off the first page (or at least out of Section A)?

Now that shows Motherhood at its finest...God bless them both.

The new liver will cure Peter, said Dr. George V. Mazariegos, director of pediatric transplantation at Children's. How beautiful. To give birth to a new life and then save that life too. And thank God for the miracles modern science can accomplish.
