OOPS! Forgot to add that Specter is such a skunk. Next to Democrats, McCain, Chaffee, Snow, Collins et. al., I dislike Specter the most.

I believe that Specter is the most despicable. He was the beneficiary of Reagen's coattails, and then spent the next eight years badmouthing the man. He has no loyalty but to himself, and his exalted opinion of his Senatorial merit is shared by no one else. I short, he is a buttinsky.

It's not nice to fool Mother Nature.

And it's gotta be Hell On Wheels to mess with Dick Cheney.

Arlen will regret this. He shudda done nothing. But if he HAD to write the letter, he shudda kept quiet about it.

Remember that when you give money to the RNC or the RSC that part of it will go to RINO Arlen's reelection campaign. 'nuff said.

This guy is not fit to run a convenience store, and yet he's been in office for over 40 years now. Is Pennsylvania a banana republic?

Has he been around that long? Heck, I thought it seemed longer. I have never liked him, and knew he was going to be trouble when they gave him that chairmanship. Dang, I hate being right. :0)

Arlen Specter is Bush's fault! (And we should not let him forget it.)

'without calling me first'.....'this is all about him'...

Bingo. This man is a disgrace. The ONLY reason he's in office now is cause Pres Bush campaigned with him. Specter has been one of the biggest RINO's and seems his only interest is his own agenda, which is Arlen Specter.

His office should be flooded with calls, emails, letters...asking for his resignation.

Arlen Specter is a sicko, anti-Christian, back-stabbing, disloyal creep.

I wonder when Arlen sent that letter...

Surely it wasn't AFTER the Canadian terrorist group was busted....

because I heard that one of the ways they found out about the plot was listening to phone calls, and reading e-mails...

I cannot stand Specter...and I swear he is trying to be some kind of "hero", and be the one that takes down this presidency, by hook or crook...

Boy, for someone that says he likes President Bush...you sure like to hop from thread to thread criticizing him....

Bush was operating on tradition...which, IMHO, by backing Specter over Toomey was the biggest mistake he has made...HOWEVER, it was an innocent mistake..because he was doing what politicians do...they back incumbents of their same party...

NOW, if it were someone with integrity, it would be okay....but, obviously Specter has no integrity.

Having said that...I want to know who the snitch is among his fellow Republican Judiciary Committee members...

I am guessing either Graham or DeWine...

The NYT leak of this classified info resulted in our inability to kill al Zawahiri. One week after the leak, we bombed an al Qaeda think tank session in Pakistan. We killed several al Qaeda operatives, but missed al Zawahiri, who did not show, probably because he was spooked by the NYT story disclosing that we were listening to al Qaeda's phone conversations.

You're right. I need to focus more on his positive accomplishments. His handling of the WOT, for instance.

Specter never said he wanted the NSA or anyone else to stop listening to phone calls or reading e-mails. He simply wants to make sure that such activities are undertaken within the framework set up by the applicable federal laws. I see nothing wrong with that - limited government, with proper checks and balances, is the best way to go.

Well lets see, specter is a rino....he is a democRAT and couldn't get on the democRAT ticket so he ran as a pubbie....(he's from Philly)

Bush and Santorum make sure they go out and vote for him, and he heads up the Judical Committee ( one of the most powerful committees in Washington )

Now I wonder if Bush and Santorum think it was worth it.....one a RAT always a RAT and specter is the biggest, dirtiest RAT of them all....

I want to know, since he is SUPPOST to be representing the pubbies base, who gave him the permission to vote 'NAY'....I don't know of anyone today saying so.....

Hope we get a Republican Governor so he can reappoint a pubbie when specter steps down......

Do you watch the Senate every day, like I do??

Specter is a jerk...and came out of the box screaming about this NSA thing...before even talking to the White House..

AND, I will tell you WHY he is upset...

NOT because he worries about US---heck no, he couldn't care less about US...he is just jealous and mad, that even though he is the Chairman of the Judiciary Committee.. HE was out of the loop on this..

He wasn't "in with the IN crowd", which in this case was a select few on the Intelligence Committee...

Trust me...this had nothing to do with you or I.

To be fair, he is not supposed to be representing the Republican base. He is supposed to be representing the people who elected him, the people of Pennsylvania. Say what you will about how well he's done that, but don't say he doesn't have "permission" to vote a particular way.
