She figured that most people would be sympathetic to the widows because they would fail to see Coulter's underlying argument, which is this:

The Left uses victims--exploits them--and the victims themselves often exploit their own victimhood-- to promote the Left's unsaleable policies.

This tactic is premised on the Leftist's pet pc theory: the victim is unassailable, a self-fulfilling empirical truism, witness the Cindy Sheehans and the Jersey Girls.
