Democrat response:

Well, it took long enough!

Great! Now, we've got another martyr.

How do you think that this affects the virgin shortage in paradise?

Yeah, big deal! What about ObL?

What about Abu Gharib?

You think that this will end anything?

Haditha! HADITHA! HADITHA!!!

Well, I'd feel better about it, if we didn't have the Haditha, the Vietnamesque My-Lai-type Massacre, hanging over our Marine's head.

Where's the WMD?

This is how you negotiate with the freedom fighters? Now, all you have done is stirred up Muslim radicals and there will be more recruits to al Qaida!

Redeploy!

Cut and run!

John Kerry would have handled it differently--twice. And, then he would have regretted his decision.

Al Gore, "This is going to make Global Warming worser." V Yada...yada...yada...

CNN's Brenda Starr says she'll keep on reporting US War Crimes even while American Agents are pressing her to stop...

Meanwhile, Katie is too stunned to speak...

ABU MUSAB AL-ZARQAWI'S OLDER BROTHER, AHMED FADHIL NAZZAL AL-KHALAYLEH
"We anticipated that he would be killed for a very long time. We expected that he would be martyred. We hope that he will join other martyrs in heaven."

They should do his family, too, preferably in a manner that allows them to suffer and die slowly.

The Jordanian-born militant first appeared in Iraq as leader of the Tawhid and Jihad insurgent group, merging it in late 2004 with Osama Bin Laden's al-Qaeda network.

This is absolutely wrong.

Zarqawi was in Iraq prior to the US invasion running a training camp at Salmon Pak for Al Qaeda with Saddam Hussein's full knowledge. He also experimented at Salmon Pak with the poison ricin.

Here's all the obituary I need for this clown: a murdering terrorist thug got what was coming to him today. He has now met the one true and living God and found that His Name is not "Allah." End of story.

Major attacks, killings claimed by Jordanian terrorist leader Abu Musab al-Zarqawi and his followers:

2005:

Dec. 27: Volley of rockets fired from southern Lebanon into Israel.

Nov. 9: Triple suicide bombing against hotels in Amman, Jordan, killing 60.

Aug. 19: Rocket attack in the Jordanian port city of Aqaba, killing Jordanian soldier. One Katyusha rocket lands in neighbouring Israel — causing no casualties — and another misses a U.S. Navy ship docked at Aqaba.

May 7: Two explosives-laden cars plow into an American security company convoy in Baghdad, killing at least 22 people — including two Americans.

Feb. 28: Suicide car bomber strikes crowd of police and Iraqi National Guard recruits in the southern city of Hillah, killing 125 people.

2004:

Dec. 19: Car bombs tear through funeral procession in Najaf and main bus station in nearby Karbala, killing at least 60 in the Shiite holy cities.

Oct. 30: Body of hostage Shosei Koda, 24, of Japan, is found decapitated in Baghdad, his body wrapped in an American flag.

Sept. 30: Bombings in Baghdad kill 35 children and seven adults as U.S. troops hand out candy at the inauguration of a sewage treatment plant. Al-Zarqawi's group claims responsibility for attacks that day, but it is unclear if these include the explosions that killed the children.

Sept. 16: British engineer Kenneth Bigley, and U.S. engineers Jack Hensley and Eugene "Jack" Armstrong kidnapped in Baghdad. By Oct. 10, 2004, all three men have been confirmed beheaded.

Sept. 14: Car bomb rips through a busy market near a Baghdad police headquarters where Iraqis are waiting to apply for jobs, killing 47.

Sept. 13: Video purportedly from al-Qaeda in Iraq shows Durmus Kumdereli, a Turkish truck driver, being beheaded.

Aug. 2: Video from followers of al-Zarqawi showing shooting death of hostage Murat Yuce of Turkey.

June 29: Bulgarian truck drivers Georgi Lazov, 30, and Ivaylo Kepov, 32, are kidnapped. Al-Zarqawi's followers suspected of decapitating both men.

June 22: Kidnappers behead South Korean hostage Kim Sun-il; Al-Jazeera television says the killing was carried out by al-Zarqawi's group.

June 14: Car bomb attack on a vehicle convoy in Baghdad kills 13, including three General Electric employees.

May 18: Car bomb assassinates Iraqi Governing Council president Abdel-Zahraa Othman.

May 11: Kidnapped American businessman Nicholas Berg is beheaded while being videotaped, and the voice of the knife-wielder is identified as al-Zarqawi's.

March 2: Co-ordinated blasts from suicide bombers, mortars and planted explosives strike Shiite Muslim shrines in Karbala and Baghdad, killing at least 181. U.S. and Iraqi officials link the attacks to al-Zarqawi.

2003:

Aug. 29: Car bomb in Najaf kills more than 85 people, including Ayatollah Mohammad Baqr al-Hakim, leader of the Supreme Council of the Islamic Revolution in Iraq.

Aug. 19: Truck bombing of U.N. headquarters in Baghdad kills 23, including top UN envoy Sergio Vieira de Mello.

2002:

Oct. 28: Laurence Foley, a diplomat and administrator of U.S. aid programs in Jordan, is gunned down outside his home in Amman.

In that first picture of him when he was still alive, al-Zarqawi looks really depressed, like he knows what is coming.

[Zarqawi reclining on a couch talking to his Imam/therapist] : "Imam, I just can't shake this feeling of doom. I keep having this dream that I am in heaven making love to 72 virgins--but then, still in the dream, I wake to find that I am hugging a large metal object with fins at one end and a glowing red eye at the other. What does this mean?"

Imam: "Zarqawi, my son, this is nothing to be worried about, the Koran says: Allah is the guardian of those who believe. He brings them out of the darkness into the light; and (as to) those who disbelieve, their guardians are Shaitans who take them out of the light into the darkness; they are the inmates of the fire, in it they shall abide. "

Zarqawi: "Uh, OK. But the Americans have night vision. And I think that red thingy on the metal tube might be something like that."

Imam: "Not to worry, you are a great battle leader. The Koran says: Urge the believers to war; if there are twenty patient ones of you they shall overcome two hundred, and if there are a hundred of you they shall overcome a thousand of those who disbelieve, because they are a people who do not understand. "

Zarqawi: "about that... I seem to keep losing my number two guys, and we got a pretty heavy turnover on the numbers 3 and 4, too. And recruiting been down all over the place. I keep cutting people's heads off to show them how serious I am but it doesn't seem to be helping."

Imam: "Have faith! Mohammed assures us, Yea! If you remain patient and are on your guard, and they come upon you in a headlong, your Lord will assist you with five thousand of the havoc-making angles. "

Zarqawi: "Still waiting on the Angels."

Imam: "The Prophet tell us: I will cast terror into the hearts of those who disbelieve. Therefore strike off their heads and strike off every fingertip of them... "

Zarqawi: "Done that. A lot."

Imam: “Hmmm... give me a second... Aha! here we go. Allah says: And whoever kills a believer intentionally, his punishment is hell; he shall abide in it, and Allah will send His wrath on him and curse him and prepare for him a painful chastisement. "

Zarqawi: "Uh... that means someone who believes in our cause, right?"

Imam: "It means anyone who accepts the word of the Prophet, the messenger of Allah. Why do you ask?"

Zarqawi: "Well... I, we, might have killed a few believers... at least they said they were... and you know how it is with car bombs and markets. But I'm pretty sure they were all collaborators. You know how women and children can be."

Imam: "Be at ease. The koran says: And do not kill any one whom Allah has forbidden, except for a just cause, and whoever is slain unjustly, We have indeed given to his heir authority, so let him not exceed the just limits in slaying. "

Zarqawi: "Limits? You never said anything about limits. Just what are we talking about here? I need a number. Not that I'm keeping a count or anything, but I'd like to know. And does that only refer to the heads I whacked myself, or does it include those killed on my orders?"

[Imam's cell phone rings]: "Omar speaking... Really?... Right now?... Yes. Immediately. Thank you."

Zarqawi: "Who was that?"

Imam: "My secretary. It turns out out I'm late for an urgent meeting. I must go. Say five prayers and call me in the morning. No. Don't get up, I'll let myself out."

[Zarqawi calling after the Imam who is sprinting for the door]: "Don't go! I have more questions... I'm still worried about that big red eye in my dream..."

BLAM!
