[This Octavia gives "what experts say" on both sides, as if she wants to have her ass covered no matter what happens." ]

Exactly, like some two-bit gypsy psychic. Octavia wants to assure she continues to receive her thirty pieces of silver.

MSM conveniently ignoring the fact that two vital ministers in the new Iraqi government have been appointed.

Octavia Nasr, Sssr. Editor CNN on Arab Affairs, in Paris, saying middle east websites immediately talking about replacement for Zaroqawi. Nasr says to be careful describing Zaroqawi, that there are many more insurgent groups more powerful than his group. She says there are thousands of groups like his. She says this is a blow, but it could go either way, by encouraging more to step in. This Octavia gives "what experts say" on both sides, as if she wants to have her ass covered no matter what happens."

Maybe this is a good thing. In the power vacuum, they'll be focussed on fighting and killing each other rather than innocent people.

Oh of course. Just like CNN's election coverage in 1994 after the Republican revolution victories: "clearly there is no mandate here."

IMPORTANT ADDITIONAL EXCERPT FROM NASR'S REPORT:

"Experts we talk to all the time tell us to be very careful with the way we describe Al Qaeda in Iraq. They say they are the ones that get the most attention, especially from the U.S. media, the western media, but tell us there are many small insurgency groups in Iraq that are more powerful than Al Qaeda, the zarqawi group. They tell us that there is a resistance in Iraq that is a bit different from the terror groups like Zarqawi's group. So percentage wise, I don't think anyone can put a number on that. But definitely the experts tell us that this is not a lone group in Iraq. There are many thousands more like it."

I think the biggest thing about finding him is the fact that they did it based on tips and information from people living in the area. This means that they are feeling safe enough to turn these ba$tards in without fearing reprisal. This is a giant step forward.

No big deal? They really ARE delusional.

Osama bin Laden named Zarqawi as his deputy in Iraq after he pledged allegiance to the overall al Qaeda leader in October 2004. Bin Laden called him the prince of al Qaeda in Iraq.

The most feared leader of the Sunni Arab insurgency, Zarqawi has inspired an apparently endless supply of militants from across the Arab world to blow themselves up in suicide missions killing thousands of people in Iraq.

His methods became so brutal that bin Laden's deputy is reported to have told him they were hurting the image of al Qaeda, seen as one of the most ruthless militant organisations in the world.

Zarqawi, in his late 30s, was believed to have personally taken part in the 2004 beheading of an American hostage in a video broadcast on an Arabic television channel.

Gee, seemed to be to the Iraqi reporters who were cheering the news when the announcement was made. But many of their Western counterparts are acting like it's SSDD. Go figure.
