Rest assured that the democRAT machine will do its best to take Lieberman out.If they swamp him with ads, etc, they could very well succeed.

If that happens, let's hope that Joe runs as an Independent. If he does, and wins,he could even caucus with us.

Joe Lieberman is really only conservative on the war. That's just about it. In 2005, Lieberman was rated as an 8 by the American Conservative Union, with a lifetime rating of 17. This is compared to even a RINO like DeWine, who has a 2005 score of 56 and a lifetime rating of 80.

He's no conservative; that's for sure.

I don't think ads are going to do a whole lot. Connecticut already knows Joe Lieberman. He's a known quantity, the state's small and there are not a lot of pockets of ignorance up here. It's a socially moderate, fiscally moderate state. A flaming left wing liberal or a right wing firebrand are just not going to displace moderates in leadership of either party here. If you want radical politics, move nextdoor to New York or Massachussetts. Connecticut is The Land of Steady Habits, and it's just not the sort of place that is likely to be stampeded to the left or the right by an ad campaign.
