The Black Prince is Dead
National Review Online ^ | June 9, 2006 | W. Thomas Smith Jr.

"There are other effects when a leader in an organization like this goes down. The lesser tiers of the terrorist leadership have to start talking. They will use any number of sophisticated and unsophisticated means to do that talking. Some of them will do what is easy — get on the phones and cell phones. They’ll have to move to meet and determine their next steps. All that talk and all that movement generates what’s called ‘actionable intelligence.’ It puts more and more of them in our crosshairs."

Gee, I've been told that Al-Z's death is only "symbolic."

Good article, but I hated the title. The Black Prince was one of the greatest warriors of ther Middle Ages. And he killed his enemies face to face, in open battle - unlike Rat Boy.

Even if that were true - that his death is only symbolic - nobody likes having their battle flag shot out of their hands. Losing that symbol of unity leaves the troops without a rallying point and questions as to who is in charge - just as this article states.

Hopefully, being Z's replacement will be like volunteering for a job in a Whack-a-mole game :-)

Or like being an extra on Star Trek, and being told to wear the red shirt!

Ah but at least you'll have a scene in which Dr. McCoy refers to you.
