This is a little trip down memory lane. I suppose the MSM never heard anyone but Bush ever mention Saddam's contacts with terrorists or anyone else say he had WMD. But it's easy to find the information.

Thanks so much for posting this. And I'll note for posters that Laurie Mylroie was one of Clinton's anti-terrorism czar.

The defense of Saddam and Sons has been the greatest propaganda ploy of the century.
The entire decade of the 90's has disappeared into the MSM's black hole.
What a coup, they have eviscerated us, and run rings around our minority conservative media.

Yosef? An Iraqi intelligence agent.
Let not that trouble the idiot liberal brain...

Yes, and it's so easy now to go find the quotes from Liberals showing they'd said Saddam had WMD, and the MSM said he had ties to terrorism. Now, Bush invented it. But I remember reading a book before he war by a liberal [title was something like "The Coming War with Iraq] that insisted Saddam had WMD.

I note that the plotters were a gang of wannabes that didn't know what to do. So they called Baghdad, and two experts showed up on their doorstep to show them what to do.
The two Iraqi agents led the attack, left the country, and left the wannabes to take the fall.
That Yasin is a Iraqi agent isn't in doubt. Since Yousef was sent from Iraq to help him, thats pretty clear too. Although he is sometimes thought to be Baluchi, I always note that his co-conspirators called him "the Iraqi". I figure native arabic speakers would recognize an Iraqi accent, versus the accent of someone who spoke it as a second language.
In essence, Saddam is the author of the first attack on the World Trade Center. We now know that there were meetings between Saddam's intel people and the 911 attackers as well, and we have reports that he planned a big false flag attack on the US. 911 was that "false flag" attack, its pretty plain to me. 911 was Saddam's plot to finish what he started in 1993.

Absolutely, and my favorite of all is the NYT editorial to Clinton, imploring him to put boots on the ground in Iraq, to "eliminate any capacity to make WMD and to export the blessing of democracy ..."
Frightening how much power the MSM has over our domestic and foreign policies, war, culture, education, our moods, and our very history.
Their power to destroy a Innocent's reputation and their very livelihood is scary.
As a matter of fact, this President of the United States has never been portrayed as a human being, never.
Which has led to this very dangerous BDS, Bush Derangement Syndrome, in which our reps are unable to make good and serious decisions, and has skewered political debate to the detriment of US security.

Great summary. I'm sure the treasure trove of document we've captured will confirm at the minimum that Saddam's agents were safe havens, facilitators, and supporters for all kinds of terrorists and terrorism. Again, Saddam publicly gave money to PLO suicide bombers. It's not even academic on that count, so we know he supported terrorists. I guess for the Left he just supported the right ones.

My greatest hope regarding the GWOT is that after Saddam is convicted and sentenced to hang that he decides to set the record straight (after all, why would he not want to claim some glory at having struck against the great satan-might even inspire some young jihadis out there to follow in his footsteps) and admits his role in the 1993 bombing (and maybe in the OKC bombing as well). We could even offer to let some sympathetic type from Al-Jazeera conduct the interview, so long we have editorial control.
God, I can just see the heads exploding in newsrooms across America.

One of the unfortunate consequences is this. If we should have to attack Iran in a forceful way to end its pursuit of nuclear weapons, the same people who have basically undermined this president will have made it harder for him to defend us from the mad mullahs. But that's how bad the Democrats want power, and the MSM is their willing conspirators in the constant negative and defeatist deluge they call the news.

Well, they've managed to claim that Iraq under Saddam was a nonparticipant in the war on terror. For them, Saddam and his dictatorship was basically an innocent man, who tried to live a life of peace, but an ignorant and vengeful Bush denied him that peace. I think that's the gist of it.

You know the OKC bombing always troubled me because of McVeigh's own letters talking about him avenging the Iraqis suffering under UN sanctions, and his running partners connections in the Philippians. There probably was some connection to the terrorists in the Philippians and supported by Iraq, but the case has still not been proved that I know of.
