Smokey, when we rescued him, had been de-clawed. He lasted 15 years, mostly as an outside cat. He had been run over by a car, almost eaten by a dog, shot, during his adventures and in his last two years was blind. He regularly brought home baby squirrels, snakes, and mice. Even blind.

One day, I had annoyed him, somehow, (grumpy old fart) and he punched me with his clawless paw. It hurt. He weighed about 18 lbs. Big old grumpy siamese. I miss him.
