I saw Freedman also, and he said something to the effect that one of the legacies of Zarqawi is that he invented killing large numbers of Shiites in order to bring about a sectarian civil war and enhance or even caused permanent emnity between Sunnis and Shiites. I think the implication not said was the USA, by their invasion of Iraq, caused all this hatred between Sunni and Shiite as Zarqawi never would have come to Iraq. I said aloud to the TV, "Gee Tom, what did you call it when (long before Zarqawi left Afghansitan) Saddam, a Sunni, killed Shiites by the hundreds of thousands?"

Hi...less than 700 today?
Whassup with that??
Did ya'll miss me, or what? LOL
To: rodguy911
Yes, she does; and speaking of her sexuality.... wonder if she is ready for all her skeletons to be revealed?
To: anita
Great nuggets.. thanks
Sheps comments speaks volumns, I remember he used to have a small segment every day with Sean (doing his radio show) and during the election Sean would push and push for him to tell where he stands and Shep would refuse, finally Sean told him he thought he was a lefty and after that I don't remember seeing these Sean Hannity segments.
When did Rockefeller supposedly have his back surgery? Has he been spotted in DC at all since the NSA dustup?
Deep-sixing the Maury and Connie show; good... that show should never have been put on the air in the first place. No carisma between those two and the short segments I caught I couldn't believe the stuff they were saying... they spew hatred for their country IMHO... and how can anyone take a commentator, who has a show all about "who's your daddy" day after day, be taken seriously in a political sense?
I missed Imus (comes on too early for me) what did he say? I've been reading since late last year Kaplan was going to get the boot and today I read he isn't the first choice for GMA rather the Producer of Hardball is being seriously interviewed.

Hard to do, she will just laugh everything off and with a complicit media she gets yet another pass.

Interested in your comment's. I must have been on another planet for Casey was NOT interviewed on the "MTP" edition I saw here in metro-Cleveland. Because MTP was preempted at its usual time by the French tennis tournament, Tim interviewed retired "Gen.Mac" earlier in a mostly positive fashion.

And now for the top 10!
The Top 10!!
#10: Barset - NEW MEDIA STRIKES AGAIN! GREAT FIND! Thanks for sharing this post and getting this out!
Check out http://www.captainsquartersblog.com/mt/, "Zarqawi Said Beaten to Death by Witness Who Could Not Have Seen It."
Excellent description of area around Z.'s "safe house." It was in a dense palm grove over a hundred yards from nearest mud houses.

#9: samantha- What can I say? I LOVE YOU! Loved this post:
Did you ever get the feeling that all these negative "we want to lose the War on terror"or "we cannot win the War" Democrats are a reflection of the fact that they are losers who have been almost totally out of Power for most of the last 5 Years? They are like the old New Orleans "aints", or The NY Mets of old, they are in that "Loser" mentality mode. If you count the House it is 11 years, and The Senate a blip from Power when "Jumpin Jim" Jumped ship. Jane Harman just had a very trying primary election and she straddled the fence so much, she must be bowlegged by now.

#8: TomGuy- WOAH! Way to break it down! Great post:
The panel is Donna Brasil, George Will and some other guy.
The other guy is trying to say how the war should be run --- too few troops, etc. [What is his military strategic background?]
Brasil chimes in and parrots the same. [Was she is general in a previous life?]
Reporters are not military strategists. They may think they are, but they have no more capabilities at it than I do coaching the Dallas Cowboys each Sunday -- from my recliner.

#7: It's a tie! mainepatsfan and Right_in_Virginia - these are the posts to put them in the top ten:
mainepatsfan
That'd been like Lincoln inviting a member of the Confederate congress to his.

Harman now admits she doesn't think we're winning militarily.

#6: Timeout- OH HOW I ADORE THIS ONE! This post should be REPEATED! OVER AND OVER!
I wish Newt would say to Harman:
"To listen to you and your party, one would conclude that our missioin in Iraq is to bring the troops home. Wrong. Our goal has to be victory, leaving behind a self-sufficient, successful Iraq. Bringing the troops home will be a symptom of our success; it shouldn't be talked of as a goal."

#5: YaYa123 - What a REFRESHING sight to see you do more than just talk- you ACT! Calling in and throwing down some GREAT facts for people to remember! FANTASTIC EXAMPLE for us ALL! THANK YOU!
I reminded viewers what Clinton/Gore did on immigration.
Gore's "reinventing government" program was a sham, how they bragged about "streamlining the immigration process", but it was really their way of getting in more Democrat voters through immigration.
Gore pressured Doris Meissner to forego the screening process, no background checks, which allowed in over 100,000 illegal immigrants, many of them were criminals. Gore, presssured by Clinton, put the pressure on Doris Meissner, she didn't want to do it, but succumbed to the pressure.
I told Connie I thought that was important to remember now that immigration has become a huge problem, and if Gore or anyone from the Clinton administration run for president, voters should be reminded of how they handled immigration back in the 90s.

#4: maica- YOU ROCK! You just ROCKED IT this week with this post:
Yeah, unbelievable, when asked what would help the situation in Iraq, she offers to remove Rummy from the picture. She must be suffering election fatigue, because her comment means nothing to the continuation of US support for the new Iraqi government.

#3: Peach- Peach, you were ON FIRE THIS WEEK! Blow after BLOW! One of my favorites of yours this week:
I've never seen the press act as anti-American as they're acting now. It's a disgrace to their profession and as American citizens.

and Peach- your comment at 154 was TREMENDOUS as well! GREAT JOB!
#2: anita- WOW! Anita not only blew our socks off with awesome links this week, but the links were diverse! Providing the link to the scrappleface story was PURE SUPERB GENIUS! THANK YOU ANITA!
#1: rodguy911- I know ya'll may think I am biased on this choice- but WE ARE THE NEW MEDIA! rodguy made the best case this week with this post:
They have to. Their goal this morning is to downplay Zarqawi and get back to Haditha. Excellent catch here mainepatsfan.
It was no coincidence that fat tim led off the show with the three suicides in gitmo as opposed to the biggest if not huge story about the demise of zark from two of our 500 lb. bombs!Tim just forgot to to cover that.
speaks volumes about where these chauffeurs of the drive bys are at.
