If one looks at the election results from TENNESSEE, you begin to realize how irrelevant Florida actually could have been.

Algore didn't even win his OWN HOME DISTRICT.

If he had won hos own district, he would have carried Tennessee, putting him over the top and rendering Florida irrelevant.

Ah luv it here in Tennessee.........

Still remember sitting in a restaurant at Wolfchase Mall outside Memphis and overhearing a couple of Gore's people talking about what it would take to turn the Electoral College.

Every time I engage a liberal on this subject, {I live in Florida} I mention this factoid. It normally shuts him up at least for a moment, until their brain reboots into the same lame talking points. They can't argue actual facts

Thats a misconception. Gore lost the state of Tennessee by a much larger margin than Smith County. George W. Bush won by a fairly decent margin across the state.
