THERE ARE SOME THINGS DIPLOMATS simply don't do. Last week, Mark Malloch Brown, deputy secretary-general of the United Nations, did one of them, pointedly criticizing the United States, the Bush administration and, FOR GOOD MEASURE, Rush Limbaugh and Fox News. Malloch Brown's taste in punditry aside, his concerns about the U.S. are WELL FOUNDED.

Frankly, if it's middle Americans who aren't supporting the UN's coddling of dictators, it's ineffectual policies, it's
'peacekeepers' who either can't or won't keep the peace, or, worse yet, arrive to rape and molest children while ignoring genocide and terrorism they have been sent to stop, or it's graft, corruption, anti-Americanism, anti-Semitism, criminal diplomats claiming immunity....then it's not the Middle Americans that are stupid.

The context of Malloch Brown's remarks was an impending financial crisis. Bolton late last year succeeded in tying the U.N.'s funding to progress on management reforms; after June 30, the U.N. could be shut down unless reforms are passed. The author says that like its a bad thing.

From the Slimes editorial:
"The context of Malloch Brown's remarks was an impending financial crisis. Bolton late last year succeeded in tying the U.N.'s funding to progress on management reforms; after June 30, the U.N. could be shut down unless reforms are passed. Yet Secretary-General Kofi Annan's sensible package of reforms, which would give him more power over personnel and budget matters, is opposed by developing nations. Congress is poised to cut off U.S. funding for the U.N., a move that would paralyze its peacekeeping, humanitarian and diplomatic activities."
"sensible package of reforms"
That just means that con man Annan will agree to only putting ONE hand in the till, instead of TWO.
This only reaffirms my belief that John Bolton was and remains the BEST choice for U.N. Ambassador, and I am personally going to be hoping and praying that the thieving crooks at the U.N. and their capo de crapo Kofi Anus, FAIL to make the reforms that are being demanded, and HOPEFULLY the Congress will find it's spine and cut off ALL funding to the U.N., preferably followed by a big fat eviction notice served on Mr. Koffee as he desperately tries to find a taxi after discovering that his nice lush U.N. limo has been repo'd.
Gives me warm fuzzies, now THAT visual does!

One explaination why the U.N. is so screwed up is that it was Created in the city of SinFreakSicko.

Without the money from the USA the jerks couldn't eat out at the fancy places, with their families of course, we supply the money to them to operate?

Well, it fits here.
Just as how criminals usually get the three-name treatment.
E.g., "Lee Harvey Oswald"

I thought that was the League of Nations created in S.F. which failed miserably.....even though the U.N. is of the same ilk, I don't think the U.N. was created in S.F.
To: NorCalRepub
LOA was created in Europe Pres. Wilson kept sailing back and forth then the Senate wisely decided to stay out of it. The U.N. as charter was signed in SinFreakSicko.

Maybe Malloch Brown could make that point during his next appearance on "The O'Reilly Factor."
What does O'Reilly have to do with this?

The only international agency that works is INTERPOL, because they seem to have managed to keep ideologies out of it.

The u.n.is an outmoded antique,a failed and criminal organization.Any American that supports the u.n.is a traitor. You cannot be an American and support the u.n. at the same time because,"no man can serve 2 masters"!
