"Always tell the truth. That way, you don't have to remember what you said."Very true.........
;-)
So, did Ben lie on the shows. How was he immature, as you suggested?
I'm just wondering.
p.s. Yeh, we are old. ;-)

There's an old saying: If you have a ten dollar head, wear a ten dollar helmet. I'm not quite sure what that says if you wear no helmet.

I had a very minor motorcycle accident and I mentioned to a friend that it ruined a $500 Arai helmet. His reply, "Five hundred dollars! Five hundred dollars! The value all the helmets in our Harley club doesn't total five hundred dollars!"

I would have thought that there would be some type of clause in his contract against risky activities. My son played football in middle school and the coach insisted that the boys NOT play any sandlot football or engage in any other high risk activities during the season.
My old (ex)Marine Drill Sargent high school swimming coach said NO motorcycles to our team, and that was back in 1963. But, we had a really great swimming team he was trying to protect. One guy was on the Olympic swimming team in '64 and '68.

Precisely.
And in this guy's case, one idiot away from not only a potentially ruined career, but also from a championship team chaotically careening into a disrupted season.
God help Roethlisberger. And the Steelers.

He could of had the same injuries walking in front of the old lady in the luxury car.51% of motorcycle accidents survive by not wearing helmets compared to 49% who do.The problem is to many elderly driving that shouldn't be on the road.

If he had a helmet with a shield it might have fragmented upon impact and the shrapnel could have blinded or killed him . I rode cycles before the law was passed making it mandatory to wear a helmet .I still wore one . A big beetle or bug in the eye at 65 mph is like getting hit with a rock

I remember during an annual helmet law protest in the DC area the news media reported something to the effect of...
"Motorcycle helmet law protester crashes, but helmet saved his life".

With the protection of the full face helmet's rigid framework around it, the polycarbonate shield is unlikely to catch a deep enough blow to shatter it, and even when it does that's usually preferable to having the impacting object hit right in the face.
