As one who has had personal experience in that area, I know exactly how they feel.....there is no mistaking the look on their faces! In that picture, they are hot, sucking in JP8 fumes, there is no air moving, and they are miserable in those IBA's!
The only airflow you get in those tin cans is when you are actually moving, which can be a nauseating experience for many.
God bless 'em!!

Did you know that the crew chief on this thing is just out of AIT?

I am terrified of helicopters, if someone managed to talk me onto one it would be an amazing feat- if said helicopter came complete with door gunner, flak jacket, and helmet; I would be totally out of it. I will forgive Tony for his odd look in this pic. LOL

Me too. I've got to quite looking at it. I really need to breathe on occasion.
It's even funnier because you KNOW why Fox put it up on their website. They are never going to let him live this down.

Tony's Note to Self: Never, ever allow a photographer on board one of these things again when I have to wear a helmet.

The rest of the story....
Tony Snow: "Mr. President, Dan Bartlett and I have come up with a great idea to help you get your message across to the country. You make a secret trip to Bagdad to meet with the new Iraqi PM, and also with our troops. Also, it'll be a great photo op.."
W: "Tony, that's a great idea. You and ole Dan here are really clicking in the brainstormin' department. I'm sure glad I brought you onto the WH team. OK, let's do it, and oh yeah, BTW..you two guys are coming along. It's your baby, OK.."

Had an emergency landing in Belgium in 1977 when heading for Germany back from England. It was exciting.
Now that I'm older I look back and realize that we were all a bunch of kids keeping those thing flying. That's scary.
