He even got Dubya to give standard pronunciation to many, if not all, words in the speeches. Not nukular, though. There is a line in the sand on that one.

Can media actually make their mind about who Bush's brain is? Cheney, Rove, or Gerson? How about Bush himself?

Gerson is a strong Christian. I'm sure his faith, more than political ideology, guided his advice on various issues, and also helped form the message that Pres. Bush needed to communicate. Hate to see a person like this leave the White House.

He is stepping down as things have become better for the Bush Administration.
Good Riddance and now for fresh ideas.

All I can say is: Thanks for your service.
Certainly don't blame the guy for wanting to do something else.

Didn't Tony Snow write for George HW Bush? Maybe Tony taking over the Press Secretary's position has something to do with this. If he wrote for Papa Bush, he could probably do it for Dubya too.

I'm down with having someone else write Bush's words. I just wish he'd get someone to pronounce and deliver them for him. He has to be the least articulate president in history.

He crafted the two speeches after the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks that will probably be recorded as Bush's signal moments of national leadership: the service at the Washington National Cathedral and the address to Congress.I will be personally forever grateful to him for this alone as the words spoken so heartfelt by the President began a healing along with resolution to make it right. Thank you Mr. Gerson and Godspeed.
