Didn't read article, didn't have to. Illegal immigrants from South America are likely to be 95% Catholic!

Support for an earned legalization program had grown considerably prior to September 11. Senator Brownback stated during a September 7, 2001, Senate Judiciary Committee hearing that "we need an earned 'regularization' for undocumented people who work, pay taxes, contribute to their communities, and seek American citizenship. Such people should be given the opportunity to obtain permanent residence, instead of being forced outside the boundaries of the law." (50)

Senator Brownback later voted for CIRA.

Immigrants paid $80,000 per person more in taxes during their lifetimes than they received in public benefits as of 1998; Due to immigrants' younger age profile compared to the "native" population, immigrants will contribute up to $500 billion to Social Security from 1998 to 2022. $500 billion?

Sorry, the numbers just don't add up.

Don't know where these figures come from, but to arrive at this $500 billion, one would have to "assume" that EVERY single one of the 12,000,000 Illegal Aliens, was working; earning an average of $12,500 a year for ALL of the 22 years, and they were ALL getting paid in the customary manner and had Income/SS taxes withheld.

Yeah, right!

This lengthy document can be summarized as follws:

The Case for Legalization

The predicted population growth of non-birth control using immigrants from Mexico will transform the USA into a Roman Catholic nation within 2 generations ( 40 years)

That is enough reason for us to support the continued US policy on illegal aliens from Mexico in increments of 15 to 30 thousand per day.

US domestic policy and foreign policy would then in the future be properly aligned with that of the Holy See.

( BARF ALERT!)
