Papers show 'gloomy' state of insurgency AP - 23 minutes ago BAGHDAD, Iraq - A blueprint for trying to start a war between the United States and Iran was among a "huge treasure" of documents found in the hideout of terrorist leader Abu Musab al-Zarqawi, Iraqi officials said Thursday. The document, purporting to reflect al-Qaida policy and its cooperation with groups loyal to ousted President Saddam Hussein, also appear to show that the insurgency in Iraq was weakening. The al-Qaida in Iraq document was translated and released by Iraqi National Security Adviser Mouwafak al-Rubaie. There was no way to independently confirm the authenticity of the information attributed to al-Qaida.

What a bunch of losers Zarkman and his group are! They didn't even address the illegal immigration problem once...

The problem is, the insurgents didn't get their message out.

I'm surprised that AP didn't throw in another 'yes, but' line of "al-Zarqawi was not available to confirm or deny the veracity of these documents."

The interesting thing is that Zarqawi realized the importance of time - the more time the Iraqi government has time to set up shop and organize and train security personnel, the worse it is for the terrorists.

The MSM preach the opposite.

Another SAD day for Democrats!!!

I'll say. Who's going to run Osama Bin Laden's hospitals and day care centers now?

I believe it when I see it. With this administration, I wouldn't put it past them to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory.

So basically CzarCowEeee was saying to BenLouden that despite his earlier intelligence, he had been wrong and the Americans did have Weapons of Staggering Destruction and his band of foreign terrorists, despite some being trained in Iraq, were in over their head and becoming lost in a QUAGMIRE.

The downside of this is the liberals will try to use this as an excuse to let Iran off the hook.

Osama bin-Laden's "day care centers" statement has always bothered me. The very idea that the patriarchal Islamic fundamentalists would sponsor a day care so mommy Fatima could go off to her rewarding career in the business world is totally ludicrous. That is about as likely to happen as an Islamic home for unwed mothers!!!

These documents are "cased closed" regarding any need for analysis on if/how effecitve we (U.S.) have been in Iraq / WOT -

It simply shows the reality that we are winning this WOT plain and simple (yet the DEMs and MSM try and daily paint a lying picture of doom and gloom).

Hell the headline associated with this article is trying to paint a confusing picture for the average reader. Not clearly stating that it is the insurgency itself that is losing.
