"a consuming interest in the intersection of religion and politics

heh. Something about that made me laugh.

Oh, I don't think religion is very high on his most consuming interest list.

Clinton Praises Liberal "Evangelical" "Christians" (there, that's better).

So it is okay for different faiths to come together on global warming and debt relief but not on abortion and marriage?

Tanenbaum Center for Interreligious Understanding

This is a Peace-nik group, isn't it?

"their recent efforts on global warming"

This is actually a recent strategy on the left. I saw an ad geared toward religious people on the environment. I seriously doubt it will have any effect. I can't see anyone who is a 'Christian right' voter going for a pro-abortion, pro-gay rights candidate.

The man who defiles religion by getting a BJ with his intern in the Oval Office RIGHT AFTER ATTENDING EASTER SERVICE, will always be a worthless, disgusting POS.

Pardon me?

Isn't this the same Bill Clinton who had Janet Reno saying the biggest threat to the US was white evangelical Christians?

I just loathe the smug dishonesty here. 3d World debt relief does not "alleviate the burdens of the poor" unless by "the poor" you mean the handful of thieves and murderers who run most of those countries - into the ground - and spend their state budgets on Mercedes Benz limos and luxury goods for themselves and their cronies. Giving the kleptocrats yet another cash transfusion courtesy of the US taxpayer only keeps their crooked game going and prolongs the agony of the people they're oppressing.

Don't anyone be fooled.

Dick Morris said that Clinton told him 15 or 16 years ago that Evangelical Christians were his biggest "enemy" and Morris said Clinton got red faced angry when he said it.

Sounds like these evangelicals need to read the book of James and ask for wisdom since they are clearly lacking in it. There is no excuse for getting suckered by the anti-christian left into believing the global warming myth.

This may help:

Appearing before the Commons Committee on Environment and Sustainable Development last year, Carleton University paleoclimatologist Professor Tim Patterson testified, "There is no meaningful correlation between CO2 levels and Earth's temperature over this [geologic] time frame. In fact, when CO2 levels were over ten times higher than they are now, about 450 million years ago, the planet was in the depths of the absolute coldest period in the last half billion years." Patterson asked the committee, "On the basis of this evidence, how could anyone still believe that the recent relatively small increase in CO2 levels would be the major cause of the past century's modest warming?" Patterson concluded his testimony by explaining what his research and "hundreds of other studies" reveal: on all time scales, there is very good correlation between Earth's temperature and natural celestial phenomena such changes in the brightness of the Sun.
