Earlier this week the President visted Iraq and we we saw many photos and news reports also saw the American and Iraqi cabinet speaking to each other via video conference.
One of the photos showed the Secretary of Defense giving a thumbs up and I could not help but think that this man was showing great joy and in a way must have felt vindicated regarding his actions and decisions relating to the Iraqi situation.
The MSM and his political foes have attacked him without ceasing or simply ignore what he is doing and one wonders whether most Americans are in fact aware of his punishing work schedule often flying from one side of the world to another to attend this or that conference.
The beginning of June was a prime example he attended the International Institute for Strategic Studies Conference in Singapore 3rd/4th June, then visited Vietnam and Indonesia before flying to Brussels to attend a NATO conference on 8th June 2006.
Here follows photos and links to various speeches he made during this period. For all you Rummy fans out there enjoy. It is yet another chance to appreciate the hard work and dedication of this man. At his age and with his money he could quite easily be enjoying a quiet and peaceful retirement instead he is serving his country and his President putting in an incredible amount of work and energy that many younger men and women would balk at.
