Actually this guy would reduce crime. He would also have less repeat criminals.
Publicity hound, grand stander, populist, higher ambitions, like Moore in Alabama?
I like the guy. If you get tired of him I'm sure there are lots of counties in FL that would take him.
You certainly have a right to your opinion. Please explain why a tough-on-crime law enforcement officer rubs you so raw.
I would tend to the opposite view. Most would save money in reduced crime.And in addition if his jail policies were implemented it would cost thousands of dollars less to house inmates. No perks, no bennies just "doin time" and saving tax dollars.

Sorry - whatever his personality may be, his policies are just what we need more of. I might not want him for homecoming queen but I sure wouldn't mind a few more just like him for Sheriff (or for the Senate!).
