Father's Day also gives us an opportunity to remember
the fathers who are currently serving in our Armed Forces.
Our Nation is grateful for the courage and sacrifice
of the many proud fathers wearing our country's uniform.
By advancing freedom and protecting our way of life,
these brave individuals are helping
to lay the foundation of peace for our children and grandchildren.
President George W. Bush, June 18 2006

Our Flag Flying Proudly One Nation Under God

Lord, Please Bless Our Troops they're fighting for our Freedom.
I pledge allegiance to the Flag
of the United States of America,
and to the Republic, for which it stands;
one nation UNDER GOD,
indivisible,
with liberty and justice for all.
Prayers going up.
Wishing all our Jewish troops, veterans, families, allies, friends, and Canteeners
a peaceful and prosperous week.
He Who blessed our forefathers Abraham, Isaac and Jacob - may He bless the fighters of the Israel Defense Force, who stand guard over our land and the cities of our G-d from the border of the Lebanon to the desert of Egypt, and from the Great Sea unto the approach of the Aravah, on the land, in the air, and on the sea.
May HASHEM cause the enemies who rise up against us to be struck down before them. May the Holy One, Blessed is He, preserve and rescue our fighting men from every trouble and distress and from every plague and illness, and may He send blessing and success in their every endeavor.
May He lead our enemies under their sway and may He grant them salvation and crown them with victory. And may there be fulfilled for them the verse: For it is Hashem, your G-d, Who goes with you to battle your enemies for you to save you.
G-d bless and keep safe both of your sons, Alouette.
Prayers for our troops, veterans, families, allies, friends, and Canteeners
for a safe and peaceful week ahead.
L0L!
Thanks for the ping Tonk.

READ: 1 John 4:12-19
There is no fear in love. 1 John 4:18
In 1990 a TV documentary on the US Civil War attracted huge audiences. One program featured a letter by a soldier killed at the battle of Bull Run. Sullivan Ballou realized the peril he faced in the looming clash, so he wrote a poignant letter to his wife. In part he said, If I do not return, my dear Sarah, never forget how much I loved you, nor that when my last breath escapes me on the battlefield, it will whisper your name.
Men, more than women, often find it difficult to express deep emotions. They may squelch the impulse to put their tenderest feelings into words.
This Fathers Day, many men will receive expressions of love, but they may have trouble voicing their love in return. Yet nothing is more masculine than to express love to our loved ones. Thats true not only for fathers but for all of us. We can bestow no gift more precious to those who are wrapped up with us in the bundle of life.
There is no fear in love, wrote the apostle John, but perfect love casts out fear (1 John 4:18). So let us boldly declare our love, not only for our loved ones but for the One who gave His life for us.
This Fathers Day, emulate that courageous fallen Civil War hero and give voice to your love.

And that's the ever loving truth!
