Wow, you sure can miss a lot when you don't FReep for a couple of days. This is a VERY interesting find. The media and usual suspects both here and overseas will ignore this, claiming it's not a smoking gun, just the way South Korea claims North Korea's ICBM isn't necessary to be used as a weapon so it's OK.

Emphasizing from post 92.
" Tantalum metal sheets for making crucibles to cast atomic bomb cores. "

And we found a container labelled as cesium at one base. It was in an isolated bunker-like container and on a base in Al Anbar that hosted Iraqi biochem warfare training.

I hear ya! However, it burns me up that the Administration via the President and other leaders threw up its collective hands, declared in essence or by inference that our intelligence was faulty, no WMD's have been found, and that we were wrong, wrong, wrong.
Yet, to me, the book has NOT been closed. IMO the Administration stupidly jumped the gun, and any and all PR should have not been so conclusive, nor should it be today.
But then, the Administration's PR has been a disaster on just about any issue almost from the gitgo.

The media SHOULD be paying attention: a neutron generator+a highly radioactive "source"+Tantalum coated graphite=nothing short of bomb building.

The crucibles and other parts of this system that come into contact with molten uranium or uranium alloys are made of, or protected by, materials of suitable corrosion and heat resistance. Suitable materials include tantalum, yttria-coated graphite, graphite coated with other rare earth oxides or mixtures thereof. A mixture thereof of Tantalum and Graphite is PROHIBITED. In this case we have Tantalum Coated Graphite, that is absolutely Prohibited.

I agree that the administration gave up the WMD fight very early. As I said to find the WMD or program related to it must require a long time and much harder work, the ISG did take the right time to do so. The administration was under a lot of pressure to accept the findings of the ISG. I hope that the great news that has been coming from Iraq lately will encourage them to open the subject of WMD again.

Thanks for the information, I did not know this. I suspect that the WMD weapons or its Precursors are buried in the Western Desert i.e. the Anbar Province. The documents that I have translated few weeks ago talks about burying a container of Chemical Materials next to Fallujah in the Anbar province please see

Not sure if this has come up- but hasn't David Kay been completely off the radar since his report? It may not be significant- but it just seemes odd.

I *might* have a picture of this, but I somehow lost some before I left country. But I still have the pics of DMS (actually posted once on FR). And one to make you laugh, if I can find it, is a pic of a container of "red mercury".
I think that Saddam was looking for a "doomsday" weapon and his top aids were afraid to dissappoint him.

"The media SHOULD be paying attention: a neutron generator+a highly radioactive "source"+Tantalum coated graphite=nothing short of bomb building." Sorry, but no it's not. The neutron "source" described is of no use whatsoever in nuclear weaponry. It's standard technology in any nuclear research.

IMO, the administration isn't talking about the WMD until they have unequivocal proof. They allowed France and Kerry to hinge this intire portion of the war on terror completely on WMD's and "smoking guns".
The administration took a serious pounding on it that won't be soon forgotten. Even now, the media will accept nothing less than the famous "smoking gun"....though when it IS found, the media and rest of the left will claim it was planted by the Americans to protect the administration or that it's a pre-Gulf War weapon. We all know the drill and the tactics they'll use.
