No, this is not 'urban legend'...

The prolife circles are very aware of Gianna and have highlighted her talents at many forums and celebrations.--She is very real.--This story is real.

And she's a beautiful, lovely girl.

The Democrats wouldn't look at me. They were fuming. It was beautiful. I have been in the Legislature for five tough years, and this made it all worthwhile.

I imagine it did. Wow, I wish I could've seen it!

Actually, it is important.

What is the point of this story (other than getting the "warm fuzzies") if we never find out if the measure passed or not.

Yeah, the gesture makes everyone (other than death-loving liberals) feel good but really.... without the results what is this other than (a) representative exploiting this poor child's cerebal palsy; or (b) a feel-good meaningless gesture designed to garner votes?

(Okay - I suppose (a) and (b) are the same thing . . . )

Sorry - posted my first reply before I saw the results.

You have to admit that on its face this article just seemed too "cute" (not to trivialize murder).

Personally, I think that giving abortion a face and a name (in the shape of a victim of a fumbled abortion,) did more to further the pro-life cause than the result of a meaningless non-binding vote to congratulate the abortion mills.

Show a pro-"choice" myrmidon the actual results of the so-called "procedure" and all you will get from them is equivocation...they can't handle it, which is why they destroy and persecute pro-life displays.

Rep Harvey did enough to shine a light on the gruesome abortion industry with a very simple gesture.

I wish we had more Ted Harvey's in our state houses.

God bless him and all who confront the Culture of Death peddlers.

The "poor child" was delighted. Some "exploitation."

Wonderful and inspiring...I heard this the other day and was moved beyond words.

It reminds me of the letter published in the NY Slimes of all places...written by a happily married mother of two thanking her unknown birth mother for not aborting her 32 years before...even though she was the product of a rape.

Awesomely inspiring.

And they have done it so well that now they are reduced to opening our borders to a flood of illegal immigrants to do the jobs no one will do....because most of that workforce was aborted!

I agree completely that abortion is the real cause of the immigration problem, but i'd like to point out that anyone who thinks there are jobs Americans won't take has never watched "Dirty Jobs" on the Discovery Channel.

I am tired of being told by my party (the GOP) that I have to vote for the GOP liberal because the Democrat liberal is worse. BS -- A liberal is a liberal.

1. Great. Just don't fall under the sway of the herd of morons on this site who are ready to throw conservative reps under the bus. For some reason they think screwing over the House for the Senate's stupidity will make the GOP more conservative.

2. Majorities count. For the conservatives to implement their agenda, they have to be part of the party that is in the majority. If the Dems have the Congress but ever Republican in it is a solid Reagan conservative, guess what that gets us? Bupkus.

Are you one of those folks who operates under the delusion that cynicism is a sign of maturity and/or intelligence?

I agree completely that abortion is the real cause of the immigration problem

It is my understanding that the census as well indirectly rewards localities that harbor illegals. More warm bodies, citizenry or not, equate to proportionately more funding and more representation...
