I lived in California for 30 years(since I graduated from college). I figured at age 52, I had one good move left in me, so off to Scottsdale went I. 75-80% conservatives!! I'm in heaven!!

It will take a while. California has really gone over the deep end in a lot of ways.

I had a young lady in my class who was and still is a political aide to Cedillo. After the third time I used the words illegal aliens she corrected me an said they are "undocumented" residents. She further told me that illegal and aliens are pejorative terms implying that they are criminals.

I told her that was the most intelligent thing she ever said in class. And then I said, "You could improve your grade if you realized I am not implying anything. They are criminals." Low level boos from the class ensued.

I just smiled and said if you break the law you are a criminal. They shook their heads and realized I was hopeless.

If our political system was healthy, these asinine proposals would meet with universal ridicule. As it is, common citizens with common interests have no representation. Between illegal immigrants and illegal employers, there just is no one in power to represent those who work hard and play by the rules. Sure some might say that there are some conservatives in the House who want to do the right thing, but where have they been since the last immigration bill was passed and the laws on the books have gone unenforced?

As long as American citizens allow their taxes to go to illegal aliens, politicians will keep rewarding them with handouts. A critical mass of Americans still isn't sick and tired of this kind of behavior to put a stop to it.
