FreeRepublic is a grand experiment, that has succeeded wonderfully. I am coming up on my 8th FReeper birthday in a few days, and I have learned much and and laughed a lot because I am a FReeper.

I have seen posts and replies go over the line of decency, but the moderators and Jim Robinson do a great job......most of the time.

My hat's off to you all, and bring on the next election.

Novak and CNN used the 'Freeped' CNN.com poll to convince the public that 89% of them wanted Al Gore to quit before the votes were counted. This helped to push the rising tidewater that allowed the Supreme Court to get away with stealing the election.

Whoa! I didn't know freeping a poll had a direct effect on the Supreme Court! Freepers rule!

In these two short entries, the daughter of a President is accused of carnal knowledge of animals and plants. She is accused of being a spreader of STDs. Senator Hillary Clinton is called a "dyke." The very notion of balance or fair play is conspicuously absent here. The hatred is palpable.

Thanks for posting Pitt's drivel. It was not obvious, I am sure, to a lot of newer FReepers just how much of an amusement this self-absorbed blowhard actually was, or why so many of the older hands took such pleasure in watching him self-destruct over the Rove "indictments."

It's vintage Pitt, in fact: paranoid, self-righteous, and profoundly uninformed, weaving snippets of truth into a grand fabric of fantasy. In his world Rove really was indicted and everyone else is simply too stupid or evil to see. There are a lot of people in the loony bin with this same problem.
