Thanks to John Little for linking to PFC Tucker's last recorded phone message to his family:

Be proud of me Mom, I'm defending my country. Tell sis and my nephews hello for me, I'm OK, I'm on my way.

Is there a specific article you're referring to? Michelle's site is overwhelming...

I am so sorry this happened, but my analysis is that the terrorists were so sorely pressed by the U.S. and Iraqi forces that they decided to kill the hostages then rather than hold them for a while for propaganda purposes. This is actually a good thing. We deprived the enemy of his orange jumpsuit videos.

May God have mercy on the souls of those who died, and may God have mercy on the souls of those who did this, for the United States Army shall have none.

From her article:

"There's another lesson, an unofficial one, which will be passed among the troops themselves. Never surrender. They'll just kill you anyway. It's better to go down fighting."

Sad for these young people to have to face that harsh reality. But true.

I think you are right. And thank you, God, for not letting them be used in those type of videos.

"May God have mercy on the souls who did this"..

You're better than I am. These animals deserve no mercy.

Pfc. Kristian Menchaca, 23, of Houston and Pfc. Thomas L. Tucker,

The outrage the general in Iraq expressed over the media releasing the news of the deaths of these brave men before the families had been notified is shared by many of us. Another prime example of their inhumane attitude toward the military and America.

We need to freep them big time.

The photo of Pfc. Tucker brought the horror of this war too close to home this morning. As I looked at the photo on Fox News, I had only to glance up at the photo at one of my grandsons to see the exact same uniform and insignias. (These are photos at the end of basics - my grandson has gone on to get his wings (airborne) and now in SpecOps) - In addition, his middle name is Thomas and Tucker is a family name....and other similarities I wont mention.

I swear, if I hear one libTraitor denigrate the troops - and if they denigrate the war, they ARE against our troops - they know it, but don't dare say it for they know the public will not allow it - I swear, even tho an old great-grandmother, I may make the headlines for assault

I agree. My heart goes out to the friends, relatives, and comrades of the slain. The enemy cowardice shows in their prompt torture and murder of our boys. The enemy knows that they will be hunted down and served justice if they tried to hold onto our children. The enemy bought a few days for themselves by their prompt and cowardly reprehensible act of murder. I wonder how Murtha will use this tragedy to advance his leftist agenda?

Given the restraints placed on the field commanders and the threat that our soldiers may be court martialed for being "too insensitive", as the Pendleton Eight have been, I must wonder if Tucker and Menchaca will be avenged for their supreme sacrifice. Until the gloves are taken off our soldiers, there will be more young men like these two who will have died in vain. The "perfumed princes" in the Pentagon had better cut out the "sensitivity training" garbage and spend the funds on real training and better equipment.

I'm with you, I'm with you, I'm with you. How much coverage will these vicious murders get, compared to what our soldiers are faced with when they use their best judgement on the field under circumstances very few of us could ever fathom? Many Americans do not want to look into the face of the barbarity we are facing, and until we can deliver the unbending force needed to obtain security for our soldiers, based on fear and respect, we will not succeed. I'm sick of this cocktail party second guessing and condemnation for political gain, while these young men and women must endure these threats. You can be sure these murders will be out over the internet on video soon.

Do away with the Geneva Convention now. It doesn't apply with these savages. We need to start executing the barbarians we have in custody now. I'm sick of the whole concern over how these evil beasts are treated. Our troops never have any chance and are fighting a bunch of cowards like no other war or time.

There may be a lesson before that one, too, one that I had
thought was already widely taught - don't chase perps in
Iraq - it's always an ambush.

There has been one report that the three attacked were
chasing attackers. I imagine there will be an inquiry,
and we'll find out.

Sad for the families, but it's really sort of amazing
that it's taken years for the first such incident to
happen, and it's encouraging that the kidnappers
could not use them for propaganda.

These men are the best our country has to offer who will be portrayed as victims and failures by an MSM and liberal politicians that pretend to care about them.

Already, MSNBC and CNN have gone wall to wall with stories on the 'sophisticated work' of al Qaeda.

They have interviewed a disgruntled uncle who blames Bush for not providing a large enough ransom.

The MSM template is in place as FALLEN HEROS become DEAD FAILURES in the MSM.

A few terrorists facing a firing squad will do wonders in curbing these barbarians. During the Philippine Insurrection and the Moro Rebellion in the early 1900s, our military gave no quarter to the Muslim terrorists of that day and the rebellions were suppressed. Only then could the Filipinos follow the path to self-government and independence. If we want Iraq to be free, we should heed the lessons from our own past.

Specifically what makes you think their execution wasn't memorialized on video? We have two dead bodies. There's no assurance that a video won't be coming along.

There could be a hastily-shot video, but there can't be a long, drawn-out, emotionally twisting hostage crisis where the terrs demand the release of their leaders or their Islamic brothers in Gitmo. They lost their assets. They can show they killed American PWs in cold blood, and that would be good for a military court-martial when we do get our hands on them.
