I'm curious about what everyone's take on this is. Does this mean Democrats have some momentum going for them? Are they desperate or frustrated? Is Republican fundraising taking a hit from immigration?

More likely just from the general ineptness they've shown at governing.

"On Monday, Bush helped Republicans raise $27 million for the fall congressional contests, with $15 million for Senate candidates and $12 million for House candidates. The numbers will be reflected in the next filing."

In other words, we had to put this story out now to give it a negative GOP spin because it looks like the GOP will be well ahead as of the next filing.

BINGO! At least, in MHO.

When Democrats take a fundraising lead, it shows that they have momentum.

When Republicans take a fundraising lead, it shows that they are beholden to special interests.

I have read one theory is that the National Republican Committee's support for candidates such as Chafee. Many people are giving to the candidates of their choice bypassing the National Committee because they don't want their funds going to the RINO's.

I am among those that have not given to the National Committee but did send a small check to Irey in Ohio. My Congressman in GA is very safe so instead I thought I'd help out a candidate that needs as much support as she can get.

Seeing as how this is from the AP, I am surprised that the headline isn't followed by an exclamation point!

The Justice Department should investigate each and every penny given to the Democrats and siege all funds that are questionable.

"Our fundraising success reflects a deep desire for change and recognition that the best way to get things back on track is by electing more Democrats to the Senate," said Sen. Chuck Schumer, D- N.Y."

Looks as though the terrorist and terrorist supporters are sending their money to their friends.

If I'm not mistaken, the DIMs had more money total than the Republicans in '04. It doesn't matter how much more money you have if your message sucks and people generally don't agree with it.

Most of it is probably from George Soro's, Mexican drug cartels, Arab petro dollars, and Chinese military. Of course, all laundered through local union mobsters.

But the RNC has a lot more money than the DNC. Why is that left out of this article?

Some four months before the voting, the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee has $33.5 million cash on hand compared to $18.3 million for the National Republican Senatorial Committee, the groups said Tuesday.

How many RAT Senators are up for re-election and how many Repubs?
