Rep. John Murtha is thinking big thoughts. Since coming out for an immediate withdrawal from Iraq last year, he has accused Marines of murder "in cold blood" before a preliminary investigation is even complete; accused the military of a cover up over the same incident; declared his candidacy for the House majority leadership post; and, most recently, refined his cut-and-run strategy in Iraq to mean "redeployment" to Okinawa, Japan. That's quite a splash for such a veteran congressman, who a year ago had zero name recognition outside Washington. That he's made a name for himself now by slandering our troops and their mission deserves a brief recital of some other activities

According to Ann Coulter's latest book, Murtha advised Klintoon to cut and run in Somalia.
They're silent, of course -- he's on their side.
Ann Coulter's book, I believe, will have a powerful influence on the Right. She's knocked down the left's "wall of infallibility". I believe more Conservatives will come out and speak against/debate those who claim a "moral right" on various topics.
Notice Murtha doesn't have anything to say about our two soldiers who were tortured and murdered!
Oh they'll be right along shortly to say Murtha is being "Swiftboated" by this information.
This Murtha a--hole is totally corrupt. The guy was involved in ABSCAM. That's all you need to know.
We should start calling him "Duke" Murtha.
And con a bunch of dupes into donating to his legal defense fund. "John stuck up for our cause, so we must now all stick up for John..."
Case in point: a few days ago a friend and I saw Murtha on tv pontificating and I said something like "He thinks he's a general now," or something like that...and my liberal buddy said, "Hey, he's a veteran..." and I told him "I don't care. That argument doesn't cut it anymore. Just because he's a veteran doesn't mean he's automatically right." The conversation about Murtha ended there.
Recent Penna . Numbers on Murtha , He is not in great shape in the approval Dept . He very well may lose in November .
Frankly, that word brings a smile to my face every time I hear it.
I love those guys and never stop praying for them.
when does a hero stop being a hero? ... john glenn and mccain certainly have served their country well, but where does one draw the line between being noted for a courageous act and a moronic view on immigration, or selling your political soul for a ride on a space shuttle?
That day is over, and has been for a long time.
Amazing, isn't it, how the left trampled all over GHW Bush in '92 and Dole in '96 and there was never a bunch of crying from the right saying, "This is no fair! Bush/Dole was a veteran!"
Bttt
