I'll go for it.
There are scooters and lower end bikes that are more affordable. I say there are too few, menaing if there were MORE drivers would be able better to share the road with them. People don't see what they don't expect to see.
that was the point i was trying to make. bikes cost too much anymore, and in most places, they aren't feasible for year-round daily driver. so they have to be a second vehicle. and alot of people don't have that kind of extra money around.
Largely a matter of not being in fashion. IAC, bikers should be aware that biking is dangerous in places with lots of traffic. They are virtually invisible small fry in a lake with very big fish. That's why suburban housewives like SUVs.
