It's OK, I wasn't trying to be very exact.
They've decreased the Temperature by increasing the Time available for combustion and the Turbulence- all by simply directing the flow of the exhaust gases. Pretty impressive.
Frankly I'm still shocked when I read of intentionally lowering the temperature of a heat engine LOL!

On Monday, Georgia Tech and IBM announced the new fastest silicon microchip, which operates best at absolute zero temperature. The Ramblin Wreck is on a roll... Oh, great ... that means you need liquid helium to run the bloody thing.

LOL
How much would you expect to pay for a combustor like this?
$1000?
$800?
$700?
We'll sell it to you for just $199!
And that's not all! If you call in the next 30 minutes, we'll DOUBLE your order!

But when it rolls off the assembly line it will look like a Pry-us, so sane people wouldn't be caught dead in it.

This is significant, as they are asserting in plain language that they're getting most of the fuel burned, therefore more energy out of the same amount of fuel. I'm interested. I've learned that there are two kinds of people who have a problem with reality: extreme idealists and knee-jerk cynics.

which WILL make any combustion process less efficient That might be why they completely failed to mention the most important requirement of any new engine design, high efficiency.
