This is the most interesting aspect of this whole case, the rather orwellian control of the story from the first moment. Actually local NY news outlets had the story right in the first hours after the incident. The home movie of the missile disappeared soon as did the witnesses.

They were all over the news telling what they saw. All of them pretty much telling the same story. I always wondered if any of them had any "accidents".
