Sounds like a pretty clear message from an ANC politican to white South Africans: "You are just getting back what you deserve for the years of apartheid".
The Mugabe Clock is ticking in South Africa. Fifteen years, tops.

"Where, honourable minister, do you propose I go?" asked a letter writer to a newspaper, saying she had been raped and mugged and was now paralysed by fear.
I don't know about y'all, but if I were paralyzed by fear, I'd move to a less fearsome place.

whinge (hwnj, wnj)
intr.v. whinged, whing·ing, whing·es
Chiefly British
To complain or protest, especially in an annoying or persistent manner

"They can continue to whinge until they're blue in the face, be as negative as they want to, or they can simply leave this country so that all of the peace-loving South Africans, good South African people who want to make this a successful country, can continue with their work."Yeah, like those committing the fifty-one murders and one-hundred-fifty rapes a day!

Crime victims staged an angry protest in South Africa yesterday after a government minister suggested those who "whinged" about levels of murder and rape should emigrate. Demonstrators, who said the 51 murders and 151 rapes recorded daily were unacceptably high
Its truly amazing. One can only imagine the worldwide righteous anger if the whites were in charge. Now? Put some ice on it, and if you dont like it leave.

Dozens of people held placards urging the minister to apologise for his remarks.Apologize? I'd be wanting to carry him out naked and beat him in the streets.

Not suprising from a region where the carjackers have perfected their craft. High end cars are targeted, the driver is pulled from the vehicle, and killed immediately. This is done to keep the owner from calling and activating the lo-jack process.
Nice!
Proves the adage:
Guns are outlawed, the criminals have the guns, and the machetes, and the lawnmower blades, and oh yes, the gasoline soaked burning automobile tire necklace.
Thank heavens Peter Hathaway Capstick was not around to see this, and hopefully Mrs. Capstick was spared.

Bad governments are notorious for performing tasks they shouldn't (education, healthcare) and not performing tasks they should (national defense, crime prevention and prosecution).

"Demonstrators, who said the 51 murders and 151 rapes recorded daily were unacceptably high, were responding to the safety and security minister, Charles Nqakula, who told parliament this month that those who complained about crime were unpatriotic moaners." Nagin called in the National Guard when he had 54 murders in the city of New Orleans and more than half the people have left the city. I wonder what these places have in common?
