No, this principled wondergirl agreed to the changes and then reneged on her promise. Where in the article did it say she "agreed" to anything? She stood and proclaimed her love for her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and credited Him for her success. May God Bless and keep the courageous young woman.

It's been reported in other sources, and LV attorney Bob Massi on O'R Factor the other day mentioned it, that prior to the speech, the school made edits (which is customary and well within their right), she agreed, and then when she took the podium, went off script.
I'm not saying she lied. She may have just changed her mind when she got up there. That's fine, but she didn't honor her promise.
Stuff like this shows that people well along the way to spiritual salvation can, indeed, be obnoxious pests.
