Quinn & Rose Go National on XM
Pittsburgh's legendary conservative talk team Quinn & Rose are now on satellite radio, taking their popular mix of conservative activism and common sense patriotism to a national audience.
The morning duo can still be heard in Western Pennsylvania on FM NewsTalk 104.7. But as of May, fans of political talk around the country have been able to access Quinn & Rose on XM Satellite Radio's Channel 165.
"Satellite is different in that we're hearing from people all over the country," Rose Somma Tennent told NewsMax. The transition was easy, she added, because "we have always focused on national issues."
Sometimes those national issues intersect with Pennsylvania politics - as in the case of the Democrats' anti-war poster boy, Rep. John Murtha.
Murtha's opponent in the Keystone State's 12th Congressional district is Diana Irey, whom Somma Tennent referred to as "a good friend of mine."
"People want Murtha out," she told NewsMax, adding that Irey "is getting money from all over the country."
Appearances on Quinn & Rose's national satellite hookup have undoubtedly given Irey a boost.
"When he accepted the Medal of Courage from Code Pink in January, he sent a message loud and clear - he's against us," the Murtha opponent complained recently on the show. Code Pink has given financial support to terrorists and called upon American soldiers to kill their leaders, according to NewsBusters.org.
Irey told Quinn & Rose that in polls where voters are informed of Murtha's positions, she wins "hands down." And that was before the Pennsylvania Democrat called U.S. Marine's accused in the Haditha incident "cold-blooded killers."
Irey has demanded that Murtha apologize for his "reckless statements" and "rush to judgment," adding: "Such unfounded criticism of United States Marines serves only to empower those who promote hatred of Americans in foreign lands."
Quinn and Rose, however, don't limit their scope to Murtha and his antics. The day terrorist leader Abu Musab al Zarqawi was killed by U.S. forces in Iraq, Jim Quinn surveyed Democratic reaction across the board, then told his audience:
"It's one of the greatest days in American history, ladies and gentlemen - one of the greatest days in the history of the Iraq war. And here come the Democrats to pee in the punchbowl."
Quinn & Rose are on the air from 6 a.m. to 9 a.m. ET on 104.7 FM in Pittsburgh and XM Channel 165, as well as live streaming on warroom.com.

They were with us in the trenches back in the mid-90's, when FR was just an idea in JimRob's head.
They are talk radio pioneers. So great to see they are getting a bigger audience.
They should be syndicated nationally already.
Thanks for the post and the ping.
Great News!! Sounds like Ms. Irey has a good pair of friends in Quinn & Rose, that's the kind of local media she really needs.
Ms. Irey was terrific this morning on Dayside. I didn't know she was going to on until a couple hours before, do you know if it was kind of a quick engagement for her?
All Right!!!! Thanks for this! Look forward to channel 165
I never miss them! Yunz all should listen! :-))

Quick, everyone reading this thread send Irey's campaign $20.
