"They should let Ann Coulter do it instead?" he mused, with a chuckle. Then he said, "You can turn on the idiots rambling on, on cable television, every night of the week -- and they say musicians shouldn’t speak up? It’s insane, it’s funny," he said, laughing.

Hey, moron, you are as good a political analyst as those talking heads are at being rock stars. Get the point? They don't sing and you don't opine politics. It's not hard, you dim-witted moron.

In the documentary "Hail, Hail Rock 'n' Roll", Keith Richard came off as an articulate genius next to Springsteen.

I never liked him and his phony blue-collar crap. Does he still do concerts, and if so, why hasn't he suffered the Dixie Chicks' fate with his blue-collar fans?

"Springsteen was asked by Soledad O'Brien if getting flak about his political views, such as backing John Kerry in 2004, made him wonder if musicians should try so hard to be taken seriously on topical issues."

"They should let Ann Coulter do it instead?" he mused, with a chuckle. Then he said, "You can turn on the idiots rambling on, on cable television, every night of the week -- and they say musicians shouldn’t speak up? It’s insane, it’s funny," he said, laughing.

He called politics "an organic part of what I’m doing. ... It’s called common sense. I don’t even see it as politics at this point.''

As for the Iraq war, he commented, "You don’t take your country into a major war on circumstantial evidence -- you lose your job for that. That’s my opinion and I don’t have a problem voicing that. Some people have a problem with that, others don’t."

The questions were brought to him...he didn't throw the comment out.

He's never hid his politics. He was writing anti-Reagan songs and making speeches to that effect sine the early 80s.

Well, I was not aware of his earlier opinions...But I did note in grade school his 'singing' sounds conspiciously like a poor constipated soul...

Pity, if New Jersey REALLY wants a musical role model they only need look to this man....
