Even before the evidence on Haditha is in, Jack Murtha was ready to accuse American Marines of 'cold-blooded' killings. But let terrorists plan to kill Americans, and - what do you know? - liberals are quick to ascribe their acts to everything from poverty to insanity.
Norah O'Donnell was the guest host on this evening's Hardball. Discussing the arrest of seven alleged domestic terrorists charged with plotting to blow up the Sears Tower among other targets, O'Donnell asked her panel of 'Hardball Hotshots': "where is this hatred coming from?"
Mike Barnicle was first to propose a socio/psychological explanation: "Freedom, the freedoms we have here. Liberty, the liberties we have here, the isolation that many people feel from our society. . . Poverty, mental illness is part of it."
Ron Reagan later seconded Barnicle's emotion: "The real danger may be in fact from these homegrown terrorists, people who for whatever reason, it could be something as simple as mental illness on their part, have decided to take up arms against their own country."
A. Mike Barnicle: "Freedom, the freedoms we have here. Liberty, the liberties we have here..."
WHAT?
Little Ron may want to look in the mirror.
In other words, they're liberals.
Yeah, not sure what Barnicle had in mind with his reference to freedom and liberty as causes of terrorism.
Don't laugh too much. Just watch and see when their lawyer, or the Anti-ACLU, or other left wing nutjobs start telling us it is not really their fault. They have mental problems because of their upbringing, or USA racism, or because the sky is blue.
You know how these lefties are: It is NEVER the perps fault, the terrorists fault: It is Conservative Americas fault!
No way I will ever believe Ron Reagan is from the loins of Ronald Reagan. He looks more like Frank Sinatra to me. Only Nancy knows for sure.
Funny how Frank had a daughter he named Nancy. A no-singing wench if there evr was one. A one-hit wonder. Much like Johnny Cash's daughter.

Liberals always find excuses, blaming ourselves and our society for everything. They could say all terrorists have anger management problems which imply mental illness.
It's almost like if we were under attack, while the bombs were falling, they would be having a Phil Donohue style town hall meeting with psychologists, telling us why we all deserve to be annihilated.
i heard a news report that interviewed people in the neighborhood where these guys were operating. the people said the terrorists were weird--they had their heads covered except for their eyes, and they stood outside their place like guards or some sort of military group.
in other words, besides being crazy, they were also very dumb.
the terrorists tried to contact al qaida, but ended up talking to the fbi!!!!

What? Did they have group mental illness? All at once? All decided they were Muslims? Al Qaeda? Next they'll be saying all the "insurgents" in Iraq have group mental illness and we should go easy on them. Give me a break!
We don't want to go down this road for another reason... someday they'll decide Christians have such a mental illness and they'll put us away in some sort of padded concentration camp.

Ok, so these kids may have all just been wannabes - their fertile minds innocently conditioned to plan MASS murder, but maybe without the means, money or intelligence to pull it off.
But there would have been zero tolerance during WWII, if a homegrown group had aspired to become Nazi wannabes.
The liberal media always complains about the war, but they never treat it like it really is one.

And thank you... I knew that sentence wasn't in context with the topic, but felt like saying it anyway. Liberals do often seem to try to find the 'good' in the enemy in a time of war, and the media is part of that pre-9/11 "We Are The World" sentimentality.
