From a December 2003 speech to the Council on Foreign Relations (CFR):
"I have said before -- and I repeat today -- that the Bush administration should swallow its pride and reverse course. But the evidence is obviously strong that it lacks the wisdom or will to do so.
In fact, I fear that in the run-up to the 2004 election, the administration is considering what is tantamount to a cut-and-run strategy. Their sudden embrace of accelerated Iraqification and American troop withdrawal dates, without adequate stability, is an invitation to failure. The hard work of rebuilding Iraq must not be dictated by the schedule of the next American election.
I have called for the administration to transfer sovereignty, and they must transfer it to the Iraqi people as quickly as circumstances permit. But it would be a disaster and a disgraceful betrayal of principle to speed up the process simply to lay the groundwork for a politically expedient withdrawal of American troops. That could risk the hijacking of Iraq by terrorist groups and former Ba'athists. Security and political stability cannot be divorced. Security must come first, and that is why it is so imperative to succeed in building a genuine coalition on the ground in Iraq." ...more

JFnK is a *+)(*&^%*.
I can't keep track---was that John F. Kerry or Kerry F. John who wrote that?
I think we need to stop using the term flip flop and just start using the more accurate "flail."
He's a nut.
Kerry's desperate for attention from his own party. He wants to be 'the statesman'. Impossible, but he is delusional. Now he's got himself out on a limb and his party just sawed it off. What will he do next? Oh, to be a fly on the wall at his house.
Your name befits you.
In 1998 he was calling on Clinton to send ground troops into Iraq! He is just a flat out lieing man about nothing.

"Oceania is at war with Eastasia. Oceania has always been at war with Eastasia."
Well, thank goodness, this is one speech that hasn't disappeared down the memory hole.
The man is so oppportunistic it is sickening.
He is now the equivalent of a political ambulance chaser!!
Whatever gets him attention he says it.
He is the consumate back seat driver!!!
I think his wife knows it.
ping
Kerry
Gore
Dean
So he was against "Cut and Run" before he was for it.
GREAT POST !! Thanks
It was the first one before it became the second one.
LOL........my take is
1. Gore is totally delusional...more so then most.....
2. Kerry is not delusional, he is just a manipulative lying politician.....more so then most.....
3. Dean is just a cartoon character....more so then most
"I actually did vote against cutting and running, before I voted for it."
You see that way is can ALWAYS truthfully say, and POINT to the date and time, that he was either for or against such a policy, KNOWING full well the MSM won't call him on it and "IF" perchance they do he will dismiss it with some nebulous answer and the MSM will obediently just .... MOVE ON.
Remember JFnK, IN SPITE of all his FLIP FLOPS, gained the DIMWIT party's Presidential Nomination.........nuff said?
He can do/say whatever he wants and the only people who will call him out on it are the PARTY of that LYING George BUSH.
