With its open primary, loaded with Dem crossover votes, I can see why two RINOs like McCain and Romney could think that Michigan is a prime hunting ground.

McCain won the state in 2000, with the help of lots of liberal Dems.

Lot of good it did him.

If the GOP were stupid enough to nominate either one of these two, the leftist or the traitor, it would spell the beginning of the end of the Grand Old Party.

But it won't happen. Michigan is an anomoly.

Except in 2008 the Dems are going to have a huge fight on their hands and will not be free to cross over like they did in 2000. In 2000 Bradley was toast from the start. In 2008 the Dems just might actually go 15 rounds

About all I know about Romney is he is Mormon and he was Olympic chairman, but my gut reaction is that I can't imagine that ANYONE who could get elected in the Socialist Republic of Massachusetts could possibly have anything to offer this nation.
