Jersey Girl Kristen Breitweiser is releasing a biographical political screed late this summer conveniently timed to cash in on the fifth anniversary of the terror attacks of September 11, 2001 (which her husband was killed in) and to influence the November elections.
The book, "Wake-Up Call: The Political Education of a 9/11 Widow," is being published September 6, 2006 by Warner Books with a reported first printing of 150,000 copies.
The publisher's blurb on Amazon.com gives this description of the book :
"Sweets, I'm OK. I'm OK. Don't worry. It's not my building," said Kristen Breitweiser's husband on the phone from his office in the second tower. The call ended abruptly and Kristen stared at the television in horror as the second plane hit, and her life--and her country--changed forever. This is the deeply personal, often shocking and ultimately inspirational story of a woman left to pick up the pieces of a life shattered by terrorism. With no husband by her side or father for her child, Kristen somehow found the strength within herself to embark on a journey that would lead first to the creation of the 9/11 Commission and then to her role as one of the country's most outspoken activists and critics of the current administration.
The Library of Congress lists the book's table of contents online:
CHAPTER ONE: A Love Affair That Almost Never Happened
CHAPTER TWO: From Wife to Widow
CHAPTER THREE: The Widowmobile
CHAPTER FOUR: The Fight for the Commission
CHAPTER FIVE: The Commission
CHAPTER SIX: The Mystery in Footnote 44
CHAPTER SEVEN: He didn't have us at hello
CHAPTER EIGHT: Your Right Arm Returns
CHAPTER NINE: The Dumpster
CHAPTER TEN-Where to Go; What to Do?
It's probably a safe bet that new language has been added since the book was registered at the LOC to respond to Ann Coulter's comments about the Jersey Girls in her recently released book, "Godless: The Church of Liberalism."
Presumably we can look forward to more of Breitweiser's Cindy Sheehan-style rantings and ravings, featuring her mind-melding with Osama bin Laden, such as this excerpt from her Huffington Post blog entry from June 23, 2005 addressing Karl Rove:
Finally Karl, please understand that the reason we have not suffered a repeat attack on our homeland is because Bin Laden no longer needs to attack us. Those of us with a pure and comprehensive understanding of 9/11 know that Bin Laden committed the 9/11 attacks so he could increase recruitment for al Qaeda and increase worldwide hatred of America. That didn't happen. Because after 9/11, the world united with Americans and al Qaeda's recruitment levels never increased.
Breitweiser and her fellow Jersey Girls endorsed Democratic presidential nominee Sen. John Kerry on September 14, 2004.
Reviewers of "Wake-Up Call: The Political Education of a 9/11 Widow" are advised to not criticize anything Breitweiser says in the book. Being a September 11 widow who hates President Bush means she has absolute moral authority and is beyond reproach.
And, please, whatever you do, do not ask her if she is enjoying her time in the limelight.
Read excerpts in Harpies Bazaar!
I really don't understand folks who damn our president on this issue, then give the actual terrorists a pass. This woman is one sick individual, in my opinion.
(Denny Crane: "Every one should carry a gun strapped to their waist. We need more - not less guns.")
ANN COULTER WAS RIGHT!!And no,she was'nt too harsh.As they say,"the truth hurts".
The "jersey girls" are such fools, supporting the very causes that led to their husbands tragic deaths. They won't be happy until hitlary gets into the Oval Office and restores the "gorelick" wall.
I breathlessly await Ann Coulter's review of this tome.
LOL!
The title is about HER, the blurb is about HER, I don't know what her husband's name was. I thought Ann Colter's remark a bit harsh, but I see the point she was making now. Were they the same group that created a ruckus during Condi's testimony to the 9/11 commission?
Not to defend Kristen Breitweiser.
But if this woman likes publicity so much as Ann said.
How come I'v not seen her interviewed once in TV in the last 3 weeks.
She could have went on every tv network but hasn't.
If I'm not mistaken, yes, that was them. I'm not sure that they were the only ones raising the ruckus but I'm quite sure that they were there.
And upset the scripted timimg of her book publicity tour?
My opinion of that is the media new about it and purposely did not interview her.The media were afraid this sort of thing would lend credibility to Ann's book. This joke 9/11 commission should never have been allowed to exist because all they have done is bash Bush and America.
She didn't have to, the media was already jumping all over Coulter.
But Ann is trying to say Kristen Breitweiser loves attention.
If she loves attention.
Why doesn't she go on all these talk shows.
FYI Ping
Interesting!
She had a book in the works, so if every talk show is talking about Ann Coulter being mean to those poor Jersey Girls, then she's getting the publicity she wants. When that dies down, bam: book announcement and back in the headlines.
You'd think she's cashed in enough on the death of her husband. What a witch.
