It was a big disappointment to me to find that George Takei was queer. However, I do have this to say for him.
Last year he and I were assigned the same time slot for authographing at a science fiction convention. I got two requests for autographs; his line extended out the door and down the hall. He treated every fan as though they were the only ones in line. He took time to sign whatever they wanted, have their picture taken with him, and chat briefly with them. Definitely unlike the characters in Galaxy Quest. I could see the fans appreciated his attention to them.
Wish I had that many enthusiastic fans.

It's the "pride" part of the gay pride parade that's baffling.
What about beastiality? Will we have beastiality pride parades next?
What about adulturers? Will we have philanderers' pride parades soon?
What about heterosexuals? Will we have straight pride parades next?
