Why does it say "give money" though? You'd think that if the facts were that he hired illegal aliens, the story would say that.
These days, there are so many illegals crawling about, it's almost impossible to find someone to work who's not illegal.
The problem with the story (and the reason I view it more serious than Tancredo) is that Jacob appeared to know that the immigrants, because of student status, could not receive the money, but he gave it anyway.
I personally, don't think it's such a big deal and, other than charges of hypocrisy, it's small potatoes.
