I have been laughing about this for 2days. The Japanese Prime Minister is a doll and President Bush is too. It's the cutest thing I have ever seen.

I heard a clip on Rush Limbaugh in which President Bush said that Prime Minister Koizumi was like Elvis, they both had great hair ;-)

Ok, call me corny, but I think this is CUTE.
I mean what fun. I'm glad our president can show leaders of the world what a good person he is and that Priscilla and Lisa Marie showed the Japanese PM a good time.
It doesn't ALL have to be serious world issues.

It's a great idea to take world leaders to other parts of the country, to get them out of DC, where someone such as Bush knows the world is viewed, ah, "through" a mirror.
Bush treats people like people; he keeps his perspective on how transitory we all are, regardless of one's temporary station / exaltation. It's one of his best diplomatic abilities.

I'm proud of the President for taking him to Gracerand.

Oh, Prime Minister Koizumi is just toooo cute. He's adorable, what a personality! I just have to wonder how the other guys who ran in 04 would have entertained Koizumi and his Elvis interests... (hint: not as much fun, to be sure)

Do you know that William F. Buckley wrote a novel with Elvis as central character?
Elvis in the Morning, by William F. Buckley Jr. I can understand the obsession with Elvis, because I share it. That voice, that face, that God-given talent!

I've been out all day so this is the first I've been updated on the trip. Sounds like a blast.
Anyone see Greg Kelly on Fox & Friends this morning? The F&F crew cut to Kelly for a report on the President and Prime Minister's upcoming trip to Graceland. Kelly was dressed in a real cheesy Elvis get up and did a very funny impersonation of Elvis. It was quite a hoot. Seems that many are having fun with this today.

Yes. This reminds of when the Japanese Emperor visited Disneyland back in 1975 (wearing a Mickey Mouse watch):

Oh well .... We are
both going to be fighting together against the North Koreans or the Chinese or both on the field of battle (probably sooner than most readers out there think) so we might as well get close and comfortable with each other, US and Japan.
After October though, it will be back to another 'faceless' Prime Minister, for Japan, the World's Second Largest Economy which sadly cannot seem to get any substantial news reporting nor deep grasp by most Americans other than just the image stuff -- despite all the communist/terrorist threats that it's 125 million people, and our tens of thousands of US troops stationed there for that matter, are under.
