kerry is a joke, I think there are alot of people out there that are just waiting to see what the RATS do, and see who the pubbies put up, and then you'll see who will win, and don't take bets on kerry or kkklinton....you'll lose your arse....

You don't know how right you are. I was flabbergasted when he won the Democratic nomination, not least of all because he has been an almost complete non entity in Massachusetts for the last 20 years. In Massachusetts, an incumbent Democrat more or less wins by default. Kerry lacks anything that could be mistaken for charm or appeal, he's not used to real competition. He unconvincingly mouths ridiculous platitudes, almost with a wink and a nod, telling you even he could never believe the hooey he's spouting.
It would be tragic if there was any substance to him, but he's a hollow poseur, so for I suppose he's found his niche. He's like Clinton in this. If Clinton had been governor of Arkansas twenty years earlier, who doubts that he, not Orville Faubus would have been standing in the school house door. If Vietnam had been popular in 1974, Kerry would have run as decorated veteran, since it was unpopular he "threw his medals over the fence", so to speak.
