Special Terrorism Summary 07/29/06 Raid On Baalbek
Reports are still sketchy, but numerous wire services are reporting that the daring Israeli Air Assault raid conducted at a major Hezbollah command center in Baalbek is over. Wire services are reporting that all commandos were retreived as well as several ‘captives’ taken during the raid. Hezbollah denies that any were captured and some still claim they have the commandos still surrounded.
Israeli military said it had captured some guerrillas and hit others. The military statement said all its soldiers returned unharmed to their base, but gave no further details.
