I think everyone in Long Island moved into my eastern North Carolina neighborhood.

NYC is somehow immune to all this, IMHO, the city is a haven for the truly filthy wealthy (Donald Trump comes to mind) so even if the city increased taxes, it won't harm them that much because there is truly no city in America that can offer luxuries that you will find in the Big Apple.

Oh yes, I noticed a lot of population growth. I predict by 2020, North Carolina will be 5th largest state in America, just after California, Texas, Florida, and Illinois.

Yes, I've heard that there's some clubs/establishment that Trump can't get into because he does not have "old money".

He's not as rich as most people think. Kind of like Paris Hilton, more of a "name brand," and who isn't as rich as most people think, either.

Saratoga adds 7%!
While nearby Schenectady drops 1%.

That probably explains it. But Trump is good at marketing himself, or else why would we see his name on a building in nearly every major American city?

The new data appear in the Census Bureau's Annual Estimates of the Population for Incorporated Places. Among 61 cities in New York, 42 lost population from 2000 to 2005.

Wasn't that when Hillary was elected Senator?

If it were not for massive immigration, the population of socialist New York State would utterly disappear overnight.

Actually, the native population of New York is in full flight for less corrupt, lower taxed states.

I am constantly amazed that people still think of Trump as a symbol of wealth, etc. One of the funniest things I ever saw was when he lost control of the GM Building (a major NYC building)and a crowd spontaneously gathered to cheer as they took his name off it.

The Chip Plant in UPSTATE NY is a done deal, AMD is building a 3.2 billion dollar plant (the most advanced micro chip plant in the world) in Saratoga County, NY. Read more at http://www.wten.com/Global/SearchResults.asp?qu=AMD+chip

The Saratoga area in UPSTATE NY just North of Albany. The area was already on the rise before AMD announced they were coming, so expect that area to gain more in the year to come. I am sure other areas (western NY) will take a loss again though because of not enough jobs. The Saratoga area in upstate NY is a republican stronghold, with all the people moving there that is likely to change because NY state as a whole is mostly democrats.

Also I do remember an article I read saying most of the people leaving NY state are moving South and FL was at the top of the list of states they are moving to.
