They can't really think many people are going to get up on a Sunday morning and make a decision between going to church or buying booze!I agree. These laws don't make any sense.

I'm guessing you meant this as a rhetorical question?Absolutely not. If laws are passed that have real consequences, they better be based on real reasons. How do the blue laws make you safer?
And that you infer that laws don't make people safer?
I am implying that blue laws do not make people safer.

I understand, and I will tell you that it's a site for promotion of legalizing the sale of sexual favors. I had the same notion that it was already legal somewhere in Nevada. Can't find it though, and this is what I got when I tried.

There's a difference between drinking wine every day and buying wine every day.
You can't buy enough wine six days before Sunday to get through Sunday?
Blue laws are not about drinking, they're about rhythm. Six days labor, one day rest. Economically, they were intended to put a pause in a break-neck mercantilism. I'm surprised they've lasted this long in the immediate-gratification culture of ours.
I wonder if Planned Parenthood performs abortions on Sunday.

You are so right. I'll be glad when Planned Parenthood gets over that 'stupid' and 'prudish' "no abortions on Sunday" rule.

Not a role for the government. Hours of operation should be the owner's choice. Ditto. Get rid of all blue laws.
