It's a shell game. Still funding everything we shouldn't be.
LOWER property tax but RAISE SALES TAX. He'll probably get MORE from the SALES TAX. Properties are sitting on the real Estate market and many are still UNDER assessed.

Dunno about that, but in Colorado if the assesment doesn't go up then taxes are raised.( We get to vote on it, but it is always "for the children") If taxes don't go up, then the assessment is raised. Property taxes go up either way.

Aren't property taxes assessed at the local level in NJ? If yes, how can the state lower property taxes? And what's the point of raising sales taxes if all they do is lower property taxes in a year's time?
