Last sentence in the article: "Churchill said that the investigation was an attempt to dump him because of outside pressure, and that no professor's work could stand up to such scrutiny." this may have more truth in it than at first glance, especially if applied aginst the writings of some of the liberal professors teaching today.

Like it or not, the good professor did invite a certain level of public scrutiny arising from his published utterances. That is all well and good, as we are constantly reminded that sunlight is the best disinfectant and so on, and by golly, it's pretty sunny where he's at, so what's he complaining about? A casual read indicates he's neither an Indian nor much of a scholar though, allegedly he plagiarized numerous works and artwork/sketches.

Maybe he's not a bad guy, but he really stepped into it. What gets me, if I had a bit of money to deal with - the tax angle on university donations is quite nice - I would find another school for my largesse and make sure the regents understood; exactly why this doesn't happen more often is inexplicable.

If Churchill is correct that most professors could not stand up to scrutiny as he has, maybe it's time to look into ALL professors to see who's honest, and who needs to end up on the employment line.

Yeah, but he brought this attention upon himself which is what he wanted, so they gave him that. Everything about this guy is a fraud, even down to paintings he did and claimed as his own.

There was one painting he did that was publicized a year or so ago that he claimed was an original by him, and it was practically a paint by numbers of another painting by a Native American. They put both of them side by side and it was identical.

Ann Coulter even claimed a few months back all he had was a liberal arts degree. I had Professors just like this putz, I would be sitting in on a lecture hearing the biggest BS you ever heard in your life wondering how the hell this guy even got close to a classroom, and that was 25 years ago. One in particular was an English Professor who claimed an Emily Dickinson poem was written by Elizabeth Browning, and studenst were constantly telling him he was wrong, and he would get furious. This went on for weeks until he was exposed as an fraud and we never saw him again. I don`t even want to think what kind of crap they pass off as Professors now. It`s all based on this clique of liberals...They meet each other at their pot/LSD parties (well now it`s probably GW Bush bashing parties) and the BS flies and next thing you know they`re tenured with nothing more than a High school diploma and a few weeks at your local community college.
